"I was injured in a road traffic accident a few years before I started driving lessons so was a bit more cautious in my approach to learning than I would have been before. My instructor Vinney was excellent and got a good balance between pushing me to continue to improve my skills and allowing me to build my confidence at the rate I felt comfortable with. This was a joint discussion and I chose to take a it a bit slower as I wanted to be comfortable driving afterwards and not just get a certificate.
With this approach I passed my test first time, and after a few months have bought my own car and been out driving on some of the busier roads in London.
I'd happily recommend Vinney to anyone who is prepared to work on developing their skills and wants to learn how to drive safely

I successfully passed my driving test on my first attempt at the ripe old age of 47 years whilst being under significant time pressure. Vinney came highly recommended to me by my wife, who had also passed her driving test on her first attempt under Vinney’s tutelage. I owe my success entirely to Vinney - he demands a very exacting, rigorous and attention to detail approach, whilst being very encouraging and building one’s confidence as a driver. And in my case, I also had the issue of needing my license with an incredibly tight deadline. Despite not having my best 35minutes or so of driving during my test, I got by with a handful of minor faults - again a reflection of Vinney’s own standards being significantly higher than the test standard.
